Setting Up Duo Mobile on a New Device

Did you purchase a new phone? Follow these instructions!

If you got a new phone number and don’t have your old device, you may need to contact the ITS Service Desk (512-475-9400) to get a bypass code.

Getting to the Management Page

  • While on a computer, click this link http://bit.ly/utduo

  • Sign in with your UT EID and password.

  • When it asks you to enter a code, click the link that says, “Other options.”

Other Options

  • Click Manage devices to add a phone, Touch ID, and more.

Verify Your Identity

Phone call (Choose this option if you kept your number or have your old phone with you.)

  • Answer the phone call.

  • Press any number on the key pad.

  • Hang up.

Bypass code (Choose this option if the other verification methods don’t work)

  • Contact the ITS Service Desk to get the code.

Device Management Page

  • Once you’re at the device management page, click “I have a new phone” and it will provide you with a QR code.

Scanning the QR Code

  • Download the Duo Mobile Duo_Icon.png app on your new phone.

  • Tap Add or Reconnect

  • Scan the QR Code from the Device Management page.
