Criminal History Background Check Prior to Employment as an Educator

This notification is to inform you that at the time of application to the state for Texas teacher certification, an additional background check will be required.  During your certification application process, you will learn the procedure for the Federal background check and fingerprinting* that will be required prior to employment as an educator in the State of Texas.

*Please note, a Social Security Number is required
