Certification Exam Preparation
Up to date information regarding test dates and fees can be accessed through the Pearson registration website.
Before you register for your exams, make sure that your Educator Profile in the TEA database is current and accurate. To do this, log in to your TEA Account, click on Educator and update the information as needed.
Registering for Exams: Once your Educator Information has been updated, use your TEA ID number to register for your exam through the Pearson certification exam registration website. Click Register at the top of the screen to create an account as a new user. Once this account is created, you will be able to register for your exams. Information about what to expect, when to report and what to bring can be found on the day of the exam website.

When to Test: College of Education students should take their PPR test during the Intern II semester or upon approval by their cohort coordinator, and their content exams as designated on the Required Exams for Initial Teacher Certification Wiki page. Non-College of Education students should confirm their testing dates with their cohort leader.
