Housing Info
The following information pertains to participants who received subsidized housing through Hemispheres.
Hemispheres has limited funding available through a federal grant received from the U.S. Department of Education to subsidize housing for a limited number of participants in the Summer Teachers’ Institute.
As a recipient of subsidized housing, Hemispheres will make a reservation in your name at The Quarters at Hardin House, a boutique inn located at 2206 Rio Grande Street, Austin, TX 78705 (www.quartershardin.com). This is a full service, independent institution that operates separately from UT, and will be operating under contract with us to provide housing for participants.
Reservations will be made for check in on Monday, June 10, 2013, with check out on Friday, June 14, 2013 unless otherwise specified.
Please note the following items:
1) Breakfast at Hardin House is included in accommodations--we have planned numbers for the continental breakfast that will be served at the workshop location based on the assumption that those staying at Hardin House will eat there (the food is better and more substantial at HH anyway!)
2) While you can walk from Hardin House to the workshop location (it's about 20 minutes), regular parking is included with your registration.
