IES/NCES amendments

This article is for devices that contain IES/NCES restricted data. An amendment is a formal way to modify or update existing terms and conditions to a Data Use Agreement. For example, office moves, new hardware, adding new users, etc.

 Instructions

Steps that need to be taken when updating a security plan.

  1. The PI needs to initiate an amendment request through NCES/IES portal https://nces.ed.gov/statprog/instruct_mod.asp

  2. PRC staff will locate the PI Data Use Agreement (this is a Box folder created by PRC staff when a PI is onboarded)

  3. PRC staff will gather paper work scan it and begin the amendment through UT Research Management Suite

  4. Mail to IES/NCES and wait for them to review and approve amendment

License agreements need:
PI Signature & OSP Signature

Security Plan needs:
PI Signature, OSP Signature, Systems Security Officer Signature
