Quest - Restoring Accidentally Deleted Assignment

Mistakes happen and a deleted assignment has to be restored. Here is how....

Find out the course.id:

• Find a UT EID from Email

• Log into Quest System Admin https://quest.cns.utexas.edu/systemadmin/main?&&tab_0=users-a

• On the Users tab enter the instructor UT EID and click Find

• Click on the Course instructor tab and click on the correct course unique

• Within the web address https://quest.cns.utexas.edu/institutionadmin/courses/show?course=xxxxxx&tab_0=main-a is the course.id number (i.e. xxxxxx)

To restore the deleted assignment:

• Go to Quest institution admin page https://quest.cns.utexas.edu/institutionadmin/institutions

• Click on the correct group (i.e. University of Texas Spring 2021, On Ramps Fall 2020, etc.)

• Enter the course.id and click View

• Click on the Elements tab

• Click on a specific published assignment

• Click on the Instances tab

• On the far right click Restore (otherwise it would be Retire)
