Moving an Instructor EID From One Quest Code Base to Another
Quest runs multiple code bases at the same time at various levels of testing.
- There are different features/capabilities at each level.
- Sometimes a new code base is missing a previous capabilities
When this happens an instructor will will need to be moved to an older code base.
The process is as follows:
- Get the instructor's UT EID
- Go to Quest System Admin (https://quest.cns.utexas.edu/systemadmin/main)
- Click on Users tab
- Enter EID in the text field and click on Find
- Scroll to the bottom of the page where Beta Routing is displayed. Options are:
- Pool 2 - newest Quest release of software will all new functions
- Pool 1 - partial version of the newest Quest release, most students and HS students are on this release
- None - pervious version of Quest, no updates or patching will be available for this release
- Select one of the options and hit Update
- A mesg will be displayed when the change is complete.
- Add the instructor info to the following spreadsheet

- In the notes section on the OS Ticket document the change
