Extra credit

Some of you may be magnanimous and want to offer your students the ability to miss a question fully and still get full points on an assignment (even though with each guess there is a decreasing scale of points granted). If this is the case, choose a random question in your assignment for which you'd like this applied to

post publish by  marking one question extra credit instead of active--this will reduce the total number of points of the assignment but grant the full number of points when one gets this question correct. As the assignment totals sum, marking any one question in this way has the intended affect of students being able to miss one question and still get a perfect score on the assignment. Of note, on subsequent tries of homework assignments points are still awarded based on this chart.
