  • Eye Light (or catch light): often mounted near or on the camera. Puts a sparkle in the actor's eye

  • Set Light: Illuminates the furniture and walls

  • Kicker: similar to backlight, though traditionally lower and on the opposite side of the key

  • Accent Light: glint of a knife, glow of a wine bottle

  • Practicals: lamps that are a part of the scene
