Storyboards

Loosely speaking they are drawings of the setups intended.

The formal definition:

  • Storyboard is a form that has each shot drawn on one side of the page, with the script material it covers - dialogue, action, and so on - on the other side.
    In a certain sense, it is the comic book version of the script.
    Story boards can be formal, consisting of very detailed drawings, or more informal, consisting of stick figures and such.
