These Primary Specimen Label is the specimen label generated using data from Access databases, or other 'pre-Specify' databases. This label will be displayed with the fossil in the specimen tray. All information on this label will be as up-to-date as possible. Data on this label will include the minimum amount of information for most researchers and collections workers to be able to find and organize specimens.
The Primary Specimen Label includes data from the following data fields; Catalog Number, Taxon, Formation, Collector, Collection Date, Identified by, Identification Date. These labels are often enclosed in mylar sleeves.
