Overview
The Studio Art Graduate Association (SAGA) is a student-run organization that serves the needs of Studio Art graduate students. All Studio Art graduate students are members by default. Associate-level membership is also open to: any faculty, staff member in the Department of Art and Art History; to alumni of the Studio Art MFA program; and to graduate students in other MFA programs.
Kinds of Membership
- Full Members: Only currently enrolled MFA in Studio Art graduate students are full members in SAGA. Only active full members may vote or hold office. Membership is deemed official when the member has followed enrolment procedures in Hornslink and attended their first meeting.
- Steering Committee: The internal committee is a subset of the Full Membership. They are chosen via election for leadership positions. All elected officers, plus the chair from each of the Sub-Committees is considered part of the steering committee.

- Associate Members Any alumnus, staff or faculty member from the university’s Studio Art department, or any graduate student at the University, may hold an associate membership. All associate members waive their rights to vote and are subject to all the laws put forth by SAGA. Our organization recognizes associate members to attend events and Full Member meetings pending they receive permission from the Internal Committee. Membership is deemed official when the member has followed enrolment procedures in Hornslink (if they have an EID) and attended their first meeting.
