How to Use Navigation View - Master Format

These are instructions to change your Meridian View to the Master Format View.

1. Go to Explorer and Click on the word 2. Select Master Format View from the drop-down menu
3. Click on arrow to the left of the NORMAN HACKERMAN BUILDING – NHB (0470) 4. This will expand to show the different closeout document classifications.
5. Click on the arrows next to the closeout document classification (or click on the document title and use the right arrow on your keyboard) to expand the Master Format number levels. 6. This will take you to the document classified with that particular Master Format number(s).
NOTES: Meridian can only display the Master Format Number OR the Description, not both. I’ve chosen to display the numbers for the higher levels and the Description for the last level. The columns (Description, Doc-Class, Doc-SubClass, etc.) can be changed and reorganized if needed. The Description is based off of the file description provided by the company who scanned the documents.
