Pushing New Course to Test Server

  1. Ask IT professionals (Dilsahd and Robin) to create a link for the new course in the test page.
  2. Provide them with the titles of all Topics so that they can create a left navigation menu for topics.
  3. Go to Test Page: https://wtt-appdev.austin.utexas.edu/pc/courses/test.cfm (You will be asked for UTEID and Password if you are not already logged in)
  4. Select the new course from the drop-down menu next to "Update Course" button.
  5. Click on the "Update Course" button.
  6. Wait until it says "…abc… was updated!"
  7. Check the update date below, next to the new course you just updated. If it doesn't show the current date, the update might not be successful. You might have to repeat steps 4, 5,  and 6 until it really updates the course.
  8. Click on the course to test your pages.
  9. Test every single page from the "Course Menu" on the left.
    1. check if links on every page works properly
    2. check if there are any formatting issues.**
    3. check if there are any strange characters.
