Body Architecture Selection
Frame Architecture
Hybrid (Composite and Tubular) Frame
We will be continuing with this architecture and integrate composites based on the testing viability of the composites
Dependencies
Mounting solutions for other systems (depends on where composites are integrated, i.e. where the battery is mounted, where the suspension is mounted, etc. etc.)
Mounting to the rest of the tubular frame
Also depends on if Bill and Brian allows hybrid frame
3-Wheeled Frame/Car
Body is on board with the 3 wheeled car design, however this is dependent on the rest of the mechanical subsystems
Dependencies
Trailing vs Swing arm suspension (overall all dynamics setup)
Location of CG
Battery/driver arrangement
Multi-Level Frame
We will be pursuing this in its entirety in conjunction with the dynamics system, in order to optimize our suspension geometry and create a larger range of mounting points for ergo systems.
Dependencies
Suspension geometry (wishbone length, hardpoint heights, upright length)
