G.6 Teaching | (b) Candidate's Statement
The candidate must provide a statement (limited to four pages) that summarizes their
- teaching philosophy and goals for the courses taught,
- relative success in accomplishing these goals,
- description of any innovations used,
- self-reflection about changes implemented to improve teaching effectiveness and address student comments,
- discussion of demonstrated improvement, and
- presentation of other materials to facilitate teaching evaluation.
Grants, contracts, honors, awards, and recognition related to teaching innovation and excellence should be discussed.
The candidate may also address the professional impact of COVID-19 on the teaching of organized courses.
