This mechanism is driven with a DC motor with encoder, pulse width modulation control is implemented through analyzing the analog signal from a potentiometer. Through this the potentiometer can be used as a dial to increase and decrease the percent of PWM applied to the 7.5V input voltage, although the actual change in PWM comes from a small circuit consisting of a diode, transistor, and resistor. A serial monitor was used to display the average RPM of the motor as it ran.
