Design Process - XP

The project had two major design stages:

• Synthesis of audio input into the necessary cam shape
• Sizing and positioning of linkages and components for desired operation

These steps were required to be completed iteratively as cam shape had a large impact on cam size, and positioning influenced maximum cam dimension.
