Google Calendar

Access

The Wiki's Circulation Desk calender is for viewing only. The calendar is managed via the Library's Google account.

All revisions must be done within the Google Calendar.

To access the Google Calendar use the following information:

Email: architecture.library.utexas@gmail.com
Password: ASK YOUR SUPERVISOR!

Add the Semester's Student Schedules:

  1. Double click on the time slot.
  2. Add Student's name in the Untitled event box.
  3. Revise the time span with the Student's scheduled hours.
  4. Check box: REPEAT
    • Repeats: Weekly
    • Repeat every: 1 week
    • Repeat on: [check day]
    • Starts on: [use current date]
    • Ends: On 5/14/13 [last day of semester schedule]
    • Review the Summary information and then click DONE.
  5. If you want to assign a student an Event Color, that's fine, however the color assignment will not show up on our wiki calendar.
  6. Click SAVE.

Add Staff Approved Time Off:

Staff time off will be posted at the top of the calendar day. In order to do this, you must schedule it as an all day event.

  1. Double click on the cell right under the date (where the all day events show up).
  2. Add your name in the Untitled event box along with the hours you will be off.
    • If you are going to be out the entire day, use this format: [your name] out.  Ex.  nancy out.
    • If you plan to only be out for a few hours, use this format:  [your name] [hours out]  Ex. dodd out 12-5. 
  3. Check box: All day (even if you are only going to be gone for part of the day)
  4. If you plan to be out consecutive days, Check box: REPEAT
    • Repeats: Weekly
    • Repeat every: 1 week
    • Repeat on: [check days of week you will be out]
    • Starts on: [use current date]
    • Ends: On [the last day you plan to be out]
    • Review the Summary information and then click DONE.
  5. Event Color: please use the last faded color listed.
  6. Click SAVE.
