Aspen - Economic Evaluation Install

Follow these steps to install Aspen Economic Evaluation AFTER you have installed Aspen V12


  1. Map a drive to your computer:
    1. Click the Start Menu, search for File Explorer, and open it.
    2. Find "This PC" on the left-side menu, right-click on it and select "map network drive." Enter the following path in the "folder" field  \\austin.utexas.edu\disk\che-share\aspenONE\V12-EconEvaluation . The Drive letter doesn't matter.  Make sure to uncheck "reconnect at login" and to check "connect as a different user".

 2. For the username, enter austin\your EID  e.g.,


3. Note: Attempting this from on-campus will work best.  If you are off-campus you must first follow these instructions to make a VPN connection, and then proceed with the instructions. Connecting to the UT VPN Service

4. Run setup.exe and select "Install aspenONE products



5. Accept the license terms and click Next

6. Check the box for Aspen Economic Evaluation and click Next




7. If you get a message about Java 8 not being detected, just ignore it and click Next.




8. On the licensing page you should already have "che-labman.austin.utexas.edu" listed, as a result of your Aspen V12 installation. If, for some reason, this is blank, enter it in the license server field and click Next.




9. Click Install Now and wait for it to finish installing. There will be no need to reboot your computer.

10. The Economic Evaluation module should now be available in Aspen Plus.
