Assigning Zoom Meeting Delegate Permissions

Assigning Zoom Meeting Delegate Permissions

You can grant someone permission to schedule Zoom meetings for you through your Zoom web portal settings at https://zoom.utexas.edu/. This permission is called Scheduling Privilege.

Requirements: You and the person you assign must be on the same Zoom account, and both users must have a Licensed (paid) or On-Premise license.

Step-by-Step Instructions: Zoom Web Portal

1. Log In

Go to the Zoom web portal and sign in.

2. Navigate to Settings

In the navigation panel on the left side of the screen, click Settings.

3. Find the “Other” Section

Remain on the Meeting tab and scroll to the bottom of the Meeting settings column. Locate the section titled Other.

To find the setting quickly, press Ctrl+F on Windows or Cmd+F on Mac, then search for Assign scheduling privilege to.

4. Add the User

Under Assign scheduling privilege to, click ADD.

5. Confirm the Delegate

  1. Enter the user’s Name or IID, otherwise known as their EID email address. The licensed user must appear in the lookup results. *

  2. Select the correct user and check the box next to their name.

  3. Click ADD to assign additional users, or click SAVE to finish.

An EID email address uses the following format: DelegateEID@eid.utexas.edu. (example: felipe@eid.utexas.edu)

What Happens Next

The assigned user can now act as your Zoom delegate. When they schedule a new meeting through the web portal or the Zoom desktop or mobile app, they will see a Schedule for drop-down menu with your name available for selection.
