How To - Column Chooser
Instructions:
To adjust the data columns in the CARE Counselor Message/Referral survey, navigate to the ‘Data & Analysis’ tab. The default columns should match the columns in the screenshot below (from Recorded Date --> Email), however, we would like to have different columns in our view.
If the default columns in the screenshot do not match yours, no worries. Just be sure that you have the same columns selected in the screenshot at the end of this document and have deselected any extra columns that may have been selected.
Out of all the default columns present, the only one we’d like to keep is Recorded Date. Our first step is to select Column chooser, then deselect the other four default columns (student_facstaff, Q8, Q5, Email).
Select Column chooser
Deselect Email
Deselect student_facstaff
Deselect Q5
Deselect Q8
The only column that should remain is Recorded Date. If this column was not present in your default settings, select it by clicking Column chooser --> Survey Metadata --> Recorded Date
From here, we will select the columns we want to see. It is important to note that you must select the columns you’d like to see in the order you would like to see them. Once you have selected your columns, you cannot adjust the order they are presented in - instead, you will have to deselect them one by one, then reselect them one by one in the order you’d like them to be displayed.
First, we will add Response ID. Select Column chooser --> Survey Metadata --> Response ID.
Next, we will add Status (FDRO), CSU, Student EID, and Submitted_by. Select Column chooser --> Embedded Data --> Status (FDRO), CSU, Student_EID, and Submitted_by.
Select Status (FDRO)
Select CSU
Select Student_EID
Select Submitted_by
Finally, we will add First and last name (required). Select Column chooser --> student_contact → First and last name (required).
Please ensure that your columns match the columns in the screenshot below.
