This article includes directions for setting up a Qualtrics survey so users must log in using their UT EID and password before completing the survey.

Instructions (click each link to see screenshots below)

1. Once the survey has been created, click the survey flow icon on the left-hand sidebar.

2. Under survey block, click +Add a New Element Here.

3. Choose Authenticator.

4. Select Authenticator settings:

• For Authentication Type, select SSO.

• Un-check Associate Respondent With Panel.

• For SSO Type, select Shibboleth.

• Connection will auto-populate to UT Enterprise Authentication. 

After applying these settings, your Authenticator will look like this:

6. Move Authenticator element to the top of the survey flow.

• Click Move at the bottom of the Authenticator.

• Authenticator will turn green and read Drag and Drop to the desired location.

• Drag and drop Authenticator to the top of the Survey flow.

Survey flow will now look like this:

7. Move survey block(s) underneath the Authenticator.

• Click Move at the bottom of the survey block.

• Drag and drop survey block underneath Authenticator where text reads +Add a New Element Here.

Survey flow will now look like this:

8. Click Apply.
