If you need to frequently access old emails and you're tired of having to click on:

Step-by-step guide
Click on File
- Then click on Account Settings from the Account Settings drop down.
- Double click on your name or email address.
- Move the slider to the desired amount of time and then click Next.
You can slide it all the way to the right to keep All email. Your choices are: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 24 months, All.
The 1 month or 3 month choice would be good for a tablets with very little storage space.
- Click on Finish.
If you have large amounts of mail (Gigabytes) and you choose to sync all mail, this can take some time to complete and may impact the performance of your machine while it is downloading.
