How to Register for EHS Training Modules via the UTLearn Portal
The purpose of this wiki is to demonstrate how UT faculty, staff, and students may self-register for specific training modules as required by their usage of certain facilities.
1.) To register for a specific UT training course, start by visiting the UTLearn home page (https://utlearn.utexas.edu/)
2.) Login to the UTLearn portal by clicking the LOGIN TO UTLEARN button in the upper left-hand corner of the web page.
3.) When prompted, please enter your UT EID and password to login. Click the SIGN IN button.
4.) If prompted to verify credentials via two-factor authentication, please use DUO to complete the login process.
5.) In the UTLearn portal, click the search field box in the upper right-hand corner. Search for training you're interested in and/or would like to enroll yourself in.
6.) In this specific instance, we are looking to complete the OH 500 - Machine Safety Safety training module. We'll type "OH 500" in the search field to locate the specific module, and double-click on the listed module to open it.
7.) The training page will open, and you can click the Request button to enroll/activate the course.
8.) You are now registered for the course. There will be a Launch button which you can click to begin the training module whenever you're ready to review the course material.
Upon completion of the course, your UTLearn transcript will be updated. Your UTLearn account will save your certificate(s) of completion. To access your transcript, click the Universal Profile button in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
Click on the Transcript tab, and locate your completed module.
Click on the disclosure triangle on the View Completion button to review options. Select View Certificate. A pop-up window will open with your certificate of completion for the course, and you can print/save/download externally for your records. Note - the pop-up window and certificate process may take 30-60 seconds to successfully produce your certificate. Please be patient.
