Parking Requests - For Guest Artists

This page is under construction, and expected to be up-to-date on 1/12/2026

Two types of passes: Single-Use QR Codes, and FDP Permits

All Parking Passes will be picked up at the TAD Front Office

QR CODE PROCEDURE

The Theatre and Dance Department offers single-use QR code parking passes as an affordable option for guest artists. Each QR code costs $12 and is charged to a UT account.

Eligibility: QR codes may only be used by guest artists who are not UT faculty, staff, or students. Improper use may result in loss of department purchasing privileges.

How to request:

Requests can either be made:

·       In Person [CS1] [CS2] (same-day pickup, from 10a-3p, M-F): Up to 3 QR codes at a time.

·       Via online survey form: At least 2 business days in advance.

Include:

·       Guest Artist Name

·       Dates of Service for Guest Artist

·       UT Faculty/Host Name

·       UT Account Number to be charged

Important Notes:

·       Usage: QR Codes are valid at most University garages and allow one exit per code. If a guest needs multiple trips in one day, consider an FDP permit instead or connecting with the Guest Artist Liaison to explore a parking reimbursement. QR codes are single-use and cannot be reused or transferred[CS3] .

·       Refunds: UT cannot verify unused codes, so refunds are not available. To avoid waste, request codes close to the visit date or in small batches. QR codes are not needed for entry into a University garage (they serve as “payment” at the garage exit), and can therefore be picked up after a guest artist has parked on campus.

·       Pickup: QR codes must be picked up in Room 1.142 by faculty or staff (not guest artists[CS4] ). Instructions will be provided with the passes.

·       Acknowledgement: By submitting a request, you agree that the account provided will be charged $12 per code and that the guest artist meets eligibility requirements.
