Time Conflict Override - Theatre and Dance Undergraduates

Time Conflict Override Request - NEW process beginning with Fall 2026 requests

The Time Conflict Override process allows students to request approval to register for a class that overlaps with the meeting time of another class in which they are enrolled.

This option should be used sparingly, so students are encouraged to find alternate courses that will not be a time conflict.

Register for the first course.

Submit a Time Conflict Override form online.

By submitting the form, the student confirms the following statements. If any are not accurate, the Office of the Registrar will be unable to process your request to add a course with a time conflict.

  • The class I want to add is open, and I meet all prerequisite requirements.

  • If the course is listed as “open; reserved,” I have verified I meet the reservation criteria.

  • Adding this class will not exceed my maximum credit hour limit (typically 17 hours).
Requests for over 17 hours are available here.

  • I have discussed this arrangement with all instructors listed on the form.

  • Questions about the status of your request should be directed to the Office of the Registrar
