Consistency in graphics and messaging makes it easy for people to form positive bonds with the brand. Consistency signals reliability and evidence of planning, longevity and strength, and a strong tradition and pride. Please use the available templates when possible. If you have a need for a specific template, please email  brand@mccombs.utexas.edu.

CANVA

Building a strong and consistent brand is the key to boosting brand perception and growth. Canva is a design platform for "non designers" to create their own materials and maintain brand consistency. We have created Texas McCombs templates for social media, posters, one pagers, postcards, etc. Additionally, you will have access to McCombs photography, fonts and colors for you to simply drag and drop into your marketing materials.

How to update logos in existing Word documents

  1. Download the official formal (RGB / PNG) version of the logo.

  2. Open the document that needs the logo added.

  3. From the pull down menus, choose Insert > Header > Default.

  4. Click so that the cursor is inside the new header block.

  5. From the pull down menus, choose Insert > Picture > From File.

  6. Navigate to the downloaded logo, then click Open.

 

Update logos in Powerpoint documents

Manually add an new Texas McCombs logo, to one or all the slides.

  1. Download the official formal (RGB / PNG) version of the logo.

  2. To add a logo to all the slides, Select View  > Master > Slide Master . Select a slide master in the thumbnail on the left pane.

  3. Select  Insert  > Picture > Picture from File. Select the downloaded PNG file.

  4. Right click and Format Picture if you need to adjust the size. A pane will pop up on the right, select the Size icon and type in the "Scale Height" and "Scale Width", make sure the percentages are the same.

  5. Repeat steps 2 – 4 if you are using more than one slide master in your document.

  6. Close Master when complete.

 


EMAIL SIGNATURES

Your email signature is a direct representation of the Texas McCombs viewpoint. Use basic contact information and include assigned fonts and colors only. Use the email specs below in one of the template styles below.

Specifications

  • Type Size: 10pt

  • Typeface: Arial

  • Colors: Burnt Orange (HEX #bf5700 or RGB 191,87, 0) and Charcoal (HEX #333F48 or RGB 51, 63, 72)

Tips

  • URL's in the examples below should be changed to Charcoal in Outlook

  • Do not add extra icons, logos, taglines or social media image links to your signature; images can come across as attachments and appear chaotic, and many email clients and mobile devices block them. 

  • Use a physical address only if it is necessary for your job.

  • Use the main phone number where you want to be reached

  • Manually input the colors to get the official UT colors. Do not select an orange or gray from the basic color menu.

  • Personal quotations or philosophical statements should not be included as part of your signature.
