Jamf - Printer Management
Table of Contents
In order for printers to be easily managed by all sites the EPM team is requiring site admins to follow a printer naming convention.
Required format: SITE-DEPT-BLDGROOM-Freeform
Example: TRECS-ITS-WWH200-BWprinter
Units welcome to use the freeform section however suits the needs of the CSU. There is also a friendly name field which can be used to name the printer in a way that allows the end-user to find and utilize the printer.
Printers can be made available to end-users via smart groups.
