Slit View Camera Package not taking images
If you notice the Slit View Camera (SVC) package not taking images…
Stop the guiding. Abort the current Sequence.
Try taking a single.
If You see a yellow “SLOW” and then red “FAILURE” notice above last obsid, the SVC package will need to be reset.
Close the SVC Package. This might take a minute or two with the mouse turning into a spinning beachball.
Go to the IGRINS Hub and reload the SVC package.
Take a single exposure to make sure it works. If not try resetting the SVC package again. If that fails, you might need to restart the software on the SVC detector control computer (see the full startup procedures, if you don’t know how to do this contact an IGRINS Team member).
You will need to update the various options in the SVC package to what they were before.
Start guiding on your target again. Make sure the guiding is good.
The image information in the Data Taking Package will need to be re-entered since resetting the SVC package will erase whatever was there previously. Click From TCS, re-enter your target name, re-enter the object type, and then click apply. Double check your exposure time and Sequence are good.
If everything looks good, you can start or restart your sequence.
