Axle

Datum A, flatness

Datum A b/c we wanted a surface to use for (2). Although only the middle touches, more reasonable to constrain that whole side.

Parallel

Actually unsure why we parallel’ed the top feature.. but the bottom one for axle fit.

Datum B, Perpendicular

Creates another datum on a diff plane than Datum A, further restricting degrees of freedom. Also very important for axle fit.

Rotor

Parallel w/ Continuous Feature

Looking back, the 2X was redundant when used w/ the CF. Either should have worked.

Bolt (thru brake caliper, upright, rotor)

Datum C, Position

Needed a final datum, and useful for constraining second hole. Pretty average callout.

The traditional dimensions probably could’ve gone on either but moved here for readability.
