Student Assignments
Graduate students are assigned as Teaching Assistants, Graduate Research Assistants, or Graduate Student Fellows.
Assignment are posted in Workday, the personnel management software used by UT Austin.Â
TA and GRA assignments are part-time (20 hours/week) employee positions, with a salary paid through the University's Payroll Services.Â
- Employees receive paychecks at the end of the month.
- These positions are also known as Academic Graduate Student (AGS) jobs.
GSF assignments are zero-time (0 hours/week) nonemployee positions, with a stipend paid through the University's Scholarship and Fellowship Services.Â
