Granting access to non-UT affiliated users

If you have a collaborative effort with a number of colleagues from other institutions this may be problematic as they may not have the credentials to authenticate through the VPN. In that case, there is a process which consists of your colleague creating an EID and then validating themselves to the University by filling out a form, having the form notarized and sending it to the address as stated in the form. Once the process is complete they may then use the Remote Desktop Gateway (RDG) system to access campus resources through SSH, RDP and VNC.

The same process is also necessary for vendors/consultants needing access to your systems remotely for maintenance or consultation.
