Crestron - Touch Panel - How to Reset IP if Not Communicating

Crestron - Touch Panel - How to Reset IP if Not Communicating

First make sure you can access this page "TechLinks"

You'll need lots of info from this page.

https://comm-fusion-p01.moody.utexas.edu/techlinks/

Now to access the touch panel setup information:

Press the buttons on the left-hand side of the Crestron room scheduler

in the order of top to bottom the first 4 buttons shown here.
POWER = 1
HOME = 2
LIGHTING = 3
VOLUME UP = 4

Press them in sequence 1 – 4 (twice) in same order 1,2,3,4 (two) times

The interface will load

You should see

IP Address

Hostname

Mac Address

But if the touchpanel is offline you probably won't see this info

Click on IP Table Setup to look at the Host iP

 There are 3 important areas to notice here

CID:3

Host:

Online green or red?

In this example we are looking at CMA 3.108

Look at techlinks https://comm-fusion-p01.moody.utexas.edu/techlinks/

Look for CMA 3.108 to look at the information about the touchpanel

image-20251205-141049.png

You will see all the info here that we

need to fix the touchpanel if it's offline

If in the case the touch panel looses connection and

The HOST ip does not show any or the incorrect information

Check this with the information on Techlinks

In this example the Host has the correct IP it matches the

Control system IP in the framegrab.  The IP of the Control System needs

to be entered in here for the Touchpanel to work

Port should always be 41794

If this doesn't have the same IP as what is listed for the

Control System in the techlinks then we need to change it.

Click on Add/Edit

Enter in the correct IP here

Choose Save

Choose Save Entry

Then Save and Exit to finish now touch panel should be back online

The touchpanel will Load the Interface for a

minute or so maybe 90ish seconds

Then will be usable as normal
