Scan to Folder
This is the preferred way to scan on ENGR devices, Scanning using a shared folder for PC's
Scan to Email
RESTRICTIONS:
Scan to email for UT work may only use your M365 email account. Gmail-based UTMail accounts may NOT be used
Scan to email may NOT be used for CUI, ITAR, PCI, SSN, other specified by project/contract data… for those data types, local scanning over USB cable to a machine allowed to store those data types is the only approved scanning method
INSTRUCTIONS:
Use the scanner/mfp to scan a document to your M365 email account (see HP instructions below or contact ITG for assistance)
On your computer, download the scanned email attachment to an appropriate location (local, shared folder, Teams share, etc)
Delete the email with the attachment.
Leaving scans in your mailbox can quickly fill the box and make syncing your email more difficult
