Exostar EPCS Identity Proofing

  1. From WEB Pnc: PncChart >Provider view >click on hamburger top right (three lines ) next to your name >Exostar Token
  2. Click on 'Prove ID' >click on 'Start'. This will take them to a different external web browser.
  3. Agree to the User contract, they will receive an emailed copy of this.
  4. Enter First Name, Last Name and License Key (Provided in an email to the IT team).
  5. Enter Country
  6. Enter Home Address, Home phone (can be cell or landline), DOB, and last 4 of SSN. Do not need to enter an alternate number.
  7. At this point, instead of credit report questions, you may receive a notification saying something like 'Registration is Cancelled'. Click OK and you can expect to be directed to the Pnc homepage. Then, go back to Web Apps >PncChart >Provider view >click on hamburger top right (three lines) next to name >Exostar Token
  8. Click on 'Schedule Appt' >click on 'Start'. This will take them to a different external web browser.
  9. Agree to the User contract, they will receive an emailed copy of this.
  10. Enter First Name, Last Name and License Key (Same Key as in Email), you can expect to be directed back to the PNC homepage. Close the tab.
  11. Go back to 'Exostar Token' within web apps and click on 'Refresh Status' (top right) Do not click 'Prove ID' or 'Schedule Appointment' again.
  12. Open new tab on internet browser and enter the following url: https://portal.exostar.com/l3xopbcalendar
  13. Select language & then Continue.
  14. Click 'Continue' again.
  15. Select appointment time and click 'Continue'.
  16. Enter name, phone number and email and complete the appointment registration.
    *At this point, if she wants to call the number to be proofed on the spot, she can. The appointment made can be cancelled when she speaks with them.
  17. Exostar will send out a meeting link the day before or the day of your meeting.
  18. After they verify your identity, they will give you an activation code.


Once the webcam session is complete and the activation code received from the proofer, use the following steps:

  1. Click 'Refresh Status' within the Manage Exostar Account window.
  2. The 3rd row within grid will have a blue 'Finish Activation' link, click on that. If you do not see this link, try clicking 'Refresh Status' again. If you still do not see it, stop, and contact Robert Reed or Deb Steinman.
  3. Will be directed to a different external web browser.
  4. Enter activation code.
  5. Enter the serial number from the token/fob (located on back, starts with GAHL), passcode #1(push button on the token and enter 6 digits), passcode #2 (push button on the token 30 seconds after the first push or when the numbers disappear and enter those 6 digits) >click 'Complete'
    Bind token to cell phone >enter cell number and then 'Send Code' >enter verification code. This will help in the future if something happens to their token, they won't have to complete identity proving again.
