October 2026 - Computer Updates & 1Password Migration

September 2026

Hello from LAITS!

We hope that the start of the semester has gone smoothly! This month we're focusing on maintaining your computer. Security is super important at UT and one major way to protect yourself and UT is to make sure your computer is staying current with updates. While we push updates to your machines, it is still important to make sure the computers are on for a chunk of time at least once a week to pull and install those updates.

The one big reminder this month is the retirement of Stache and the migration to 1Password. Stache will be retired in December, please read our documentation which is linked below or give us a chat or call and we'd be happy to assist you in migrating or even just explaining how to use 1Password.

Have a great start to the Fall and we'll see you back here at the end of October!
