CVs & Syllabi (box upload link) | Please upload your 2025-2026 CV and Syllabi at the provided box upload link and follow this naming convention: Syllabi: Last Name_Course Number_Title (e.g. Livas Stein_HDF 345_Peer Relationships) CV: Last Name_CV_Year (e.g. Livas Stein_CV_2025) ReminderCVs must be uploaded annually. Syllabi must be provided on or before the first class day so that the department can ensure these are published and searchable in the university’s database. in addition to providing the department your CV and syllabi, you will also need to ensure that this is uploaded on your course’s Canvas site on or before the first class day. Find more information and requirements here. |
At the end of each semester, Course Evaluation Surveys (CES) are sent to students electronically for organized, undergraduate courses. InfoJolie Flink is the department’s Course Evaluation Liason (CEL), interfacing with the survey platform (Explorance Blue) and evaluation office. Survey results and student comments are released at the start of the following semester and faculty can review them here:
Every semester, faculty should complete these two documents for their TAs. HDFS Graduate Program Administrator, Abby Black, will send reminders and maintain these records.
Jolie Flink is the department’s course scheduler. She will request course schedule preferences every semester. Spring 2026 preferences have already been collected. Fall 2026 preferences will be collected in August-September 2025.
Practicum | All research practicum students (new or continuing) need to submit the Research Practicum Commitment Form each semester. Students will receive the form and information through Canvas if they are a continuing research practicum student or if they formally applied for the practicum. Students who are outside of HDFS or recruited separately will need access to the form. Please share it with them and ask that they complete the top portion, get your signature, change the title to include their name, and submit it to the UT Box folder listed at the bottom of the form. They will then get access to register by HE Advising sometime in an upcoming registration period. If they have questions about which course to take, they may contact their academic advisor or email Natalie Ammon at hdfs.practicum@utexas.edu. Deadlines for the form will be shared by email and announced in a Faculty Meeting each semester. Please share this information with Lab Managers.
