Steps to set up a new PC

Step 1:

Install OS - if necessary

Dell's will come with some preinstalled software that should be removed. It isn't necessary to reinstall the OS.

 

Step 2:

System Preferences

    • Energy Saver - 30 minutes

    • Hostname/Computer name


Software install

  •  

    • Adobe Acrobat Reader

    • Office

    • Teams

    • Firefox

    • Chrome

    • Box Drive

    • Box Tools

    • CrashPlan

    • CiscoAmp

    • Java

    • VLC

    • VPN

    • Printer Drivers

    • Nessus Agent

 

Step 3:

BitLocker Encryption

 

Step 4:

OS Updates - will include Office

 

Step 5:

Bind to Domain
