11) Travel

Members of the Webber Energy Group make academic trips for a variety of reasons, all of which support the Group's mission to change the way the world thinks about energy.  By attending academic conferences, group members have an opportunity to learn from the latest research done by other scholars in the field.  By presenting at conferences, group members share the findings from our work with others in the field.  These opportunities allow us to develop networks of prospective collaborators, employers, and employees.  Finally, members of the Webber Energy Group should strive to become global engineers, not just local engineers.  Traveling to conferences and for other research-related reasons gives us valuable opportunities to learn from diverse communities who have much to teach us about energy around the world.
