Navigating Published Events during Ticket Sales

Eventbrite instructions for creating Promo Codes.

We use Promo Codes for three main purposes: to transfer tickets from one performance to another performance, to reserve seats that need to be paid for at the door,  and to comp tickets. You can see our Promo Codes by navigating to Marketing (megaphone icon) > Promotions. The codes we use the most are:

Patron-To-Pay-@-Door: Friends of the program will sometimes contact you and ask to reserve tickets. You can place an order in their name and use the Patron-To-Pay-@-Door code to complete the order without payment. The code will be on the audience report you print out and will let you know that the patron needs to pay for these tickets at the box office when they arrive.

S@W-Comp-Tix: For friends of the program that get comp tickets (Doc Ayres, Festival Hill personnel, comps are handed out at the director's discretion).

Transfer-Of-Tickets-By-S@W-Staff: Identifies tickets that were moved to another performance.

Many patrons will ask to transfer their tickets to a different performance date. There is not an easy way for them to do this so we do it for them. On their original order click Add order note and make a note of what day you are moving the tickets to. Then place an order with the patron's name (you can use their email if you'd like to send them a new confirmation or you can use your email if you don't want to be logged out of Eventbrite). Use the Transfer-Of-Tickets-By-S@W-Staff code to apply a 100% discount to the tickets. The old order will still show up on the audience report for the original performance, but you'll see the Order note you made and will be able to cross those attendees off the list.

Sometimes you may want to add more tickets to an event. You can do this by going to the event and clicking Add tickets > Drop down menu by General Admission > Edit.
