The Quick Search, or "Cross-field" is always accessible in the menu banner at the top of your TMS screen. Think of this as a google search, where it will find any instance of your term in a record. If you search for John, it will return objects with John in the title, artist name, or credit line.
Step-by-step guide
- Enter a term or phrase
- Enclose a phrase in double quotes to find a string, e.g. "Byron Kim" or "You Belong Here"
- Select the # option on the left to search only object numbers, e.g. 2023.1
- Confirm or change the module to search within by clicking the down arrow to the right of the search bar
- Click the Search button to preview results (Results Preview can be toggled on and off using this icon
) - Click the open records icon to load your record or list of records
If you want to open only one or a selection of the records in the preview, tick boxes on the left and select "Open Selected Record(s)"
