Level 0 Status - Support Staff
To obtain L0 status as UT, DMS or UTHA support staff:
1) Download the Level 0 MRI User Training Packet from the BIC Wiki and complete under the guidance of your supervisor. Packet found here:
For this packet, you must complete the following items:
a. EHS pre-requisites: OH101, OH201, OH202, FF205, OH204, and OH241
For staff who need access to the GE Discovery PET/CT control room, please also complete OH-311: Radiation Safety Awareness
b. Submit the BIC MRI Training Request form.
c. Submission of the MRI Safety Screening form for Personnel
d. Completion of the UT Learn course certification for BIC-MRI: 101B (for the 3T Vida / HDB) (please attach a screenshot or PDF of certification to the packet)
2) Name the completed Training Packet as your FIRSTNAME_LASTNAME_L0.pdf. Email your PDF to bic-training@utlists.utexas.edu
3) The Imaging Center will review the packet and will grant Level 0 status providing all requirements have been met.
Note: Level 0 support staff can enter the MRI Control Room ONLY and MAY NOT enter the MRI Scanner Room or Equipment Room (Zone 4) under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES unless they have gone through additional safety screening.
Restricted card access to Imaging Center facilities may be granted depending on your role.
