01 - Rock Climbing Robot

Summary/Overview:
The idea for this project is to construct a robot that can climb a simplified version of a bouldering wall as seen at many indoor climbing gyms. The design will consist of a set of 3 crank-rocker linkages with an arm and a hook - the two outer linkages will be in sync, and the middle one will be offset, allowing for balance while climbing. The robot will climb a board constructed by our team, with a slight positive inclination to avoid the robot rocking while hanging.
