Faculty appointed in multiple CSUs

If an individual holds multiple, concurrent professional-track faculty jobs in different CSUs at UT Austin, their ranks and annual rates must align across all units. All additional faculty jobs must match the rank and rate of the primary faculty job. An exception is permitted only for positions in Dell Medical School.

Minimum 9-month academic rate

The following professional track faculty titles are subject to a University 9-month salary minimum of $50,100/year, effective September 1, 2022 (note that Adjunct series titles are not included):

Professor titles:

• 0007 - Professor of Instruction

• 0013 - Clinical Professor

• 0014 - Professor of Practice

• 0017 - Research Professor

• 0048 - Distinguished Senior Lecturer

Associate Professor titles:

• 0028 - Associate Professor of Instruction

• 0024 - Clinical Associate Professor

• 0023 - Associate Professor of Practice

• 0027 - Research Associate Professor

• 0049 - Senior Lecturer

Assistant Professor titles:

• 0038 - Assistant Professor of Instruction

• 0034 - Clinical Assistant Professor

• 0033 - Assistant Professor of Practice

• 0037 - Research Assistant Professor

• 0050 - Lecturer
