Migrate email address, contacts, and calendar from UTmail (Google) to Microsoft 365 (M365)

To migrate your email address from UTmail (Google Suite) to Microsoft 365 at UT, please follow these steps.

1. Move your UTmail email address to M365

   1. Go to UTmail and change your username. This changes your email address on your UTmail mailbox and releases your current @utexas.edu email address so you can add it to your M365 mailbox. Remember this since it will be how you access your Google account going forward.

2. Go to the Office 365 management tool to add your @utexas.edu email address as a secondary email address and then promote it to your primary email address.

3. Wait about 30 minutes before proceeding to the next step.

      2. MacOS export to .olm file

      3. Import mail:

         1. Windows

         2. MacOS: Import the .olm file into your M365 mailbox
