Cleaning and Maintenance
Put some sodium hydroxide (NaOH CAS No 1310-73-2) on the bottom of the red washing container, just enough to cover the bottom of it.
Add ethanol to about 1/3 of the way of the bucket
Use yellow rubber gloves to mix the solution. Should take about 30 minutes to dissolve.
Immerse the flasks and other glassware (bottom of condenser etc.) for at least 3 hours. Using a funnel and a separate base waste bottle, bring the glassware to the sink and use water to rinse off the base solution. Use a brush and dish soap to clean more. Use ethanol/methanol (any alcohol) to rinse and let dry.
You can use the rest of the solution for about a month, depending on how often it is used.
For the N2 Dessicator with Hydrazine hydrate - change silicon gel often to avoid explosions
