How to Reserve a CNC Router

There are two types of CNC Router reservations, each with durations up to 5 hours.

• Stock Height Under 3"

  • This is for the Automatic Tool Changer CNC 2

• Stock Height Under 9.5"

  • This is for the Manual Tool Change CNC 1

How to Reserve a CNC Router on Patron Portal

If You're Already Certified

1. Visit Patron Portal and follow the How to Reserve Resources guide, along with the details below

2. Select a day

   1. You can reserve up to 3 days in advance

3. Select a time

   1. You may not reserve more than 5 hours of CNC Router time per day

4. Open the Catalog and go to Fabrication to select a CNC Router type

5. If you're milling stock deeper than 3", select the Stock Height Under 9.5" CNC type

6. You will receive an e-mail confirmation

7. REMEMBER:

   1. Plan to arrive at your reservation on time with your file ready and your materials in hand

   2. You should arrive no later than 5 minutes into your reservation

   3. No-show reservations will be canceled and fined

If You Aren't Certified

You must follow the steps listed on the CNC Policies page before reserving a CNC Router.

Reservation Expectations

This is the only way to start your reservation and avoid late fines.

Arrive On Time & Prepared 

You need to have all your prep work completed BEFORE the start of your reservation. 

Finish On Time 

You know how long your reservation is, so please wrap up on time; that way, the next person can begin their reservation on time.
