Approved & Standardized materials

Wood

  • Plywood

    • Check MSDS for toxins in the glue

Foam

  • Blue Foam

    • Sold by Technology Lab

 

Prohibited materials

Wood

  • MDF

    • MDF contains Formaldehyde and should be purchase by specific vendors to acquire a NAF MDF (no added formaldehyde).

    • We don't recommend using this material due to the efforts needed to purchase a sheet.

 

Special Request Materials

Due to hazards such as and combustion concerns, some materials are approved for use only after the project has been communicated with the team at TRIG@utexas.edu and your instructor is cc'd on the email.
