Mobile Podcasting Rig - How to Use

The mics are ordered 1-4 from left to right - front to back.

You will find the audio snake with all of the connections under the desk, along with an SDI cable that connects to the television.

An HDMI cable is also placed on the table which connects to the television.

Connect the first 4 XLR cables from audio snake to mic inputs in Rodecaster.

These cables will be labeled 1-4.

Verify that correct microphone has been chosen in settings.

This menu can be brought up by pressing the button above the desired channel.

Connect 4 1/4” cables to headphone outputs in Rodecaster.

These cables will be labeled 9-12.

Check headphone levels using output knobs on Rodecaster.

If 9-12 are plugged in sequentially, they should match numerically with the microphone cables.

ex: Mic 1 and headphone out 1 are used by the same person.

Use HDMI cable to cast branded content to the TV or SDI cable to cast SDI feed to TV.

Remotes for the TV and the TV backlights can be found on the inside of the desk.
